This 77,000-square-foot facility is attached via skywalk to the original FCSA Corporate Headquarters, and takes a cue from its predecessor’s materials and agricultural theme. The masonry of the new building reflects an “Amber Waves of Grain” concept with tones and textures of a wheat field. Clerestory windows and shaded glazed walls provide natural light throughout.

Wide corridors, open stairways and visual connectivity between floors encourage employee interaction. Numerous gathering spaces are provided and feature telecommunications technology. On the ground floor, the main entrance corridor and the employee entrance corridor converge at a commons space, with a serving kitchen for catered events as well as typical breakroom amenities to provide a welcoming ambience.

The new building connects to the first building via a 200-foot skywalk. Midway is a “meet in the middle” structure with a conference room and informal meeting space. [From: ClarkEnersen.com]
